Adam Thompson - Beach Volleyball

Adam hails from Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. He is a small town prairie boy with big dreams and he has been chasing volleyball ever since making the team in grade 7. Between now and then he has competed for 5 years as a University of Windsor Lancer, was chosen as the team captain in his senior year, and represented Team Manitoba at the Sherbrooke Canada Games in 2013. Upon graduating in 2015 Adam moved to the big city of Toronto and switched to beach volleyball. He represented Canada in his first FIVB World Tour event in 2015 at the Qatar Open and fell in love with the sport. Changing from indoor to beach volleyball is a task much easier said than done and he has faced many challenges throughout the process, but Adam is a fighter and he now trains professionally full time. He looks to continue representing Canada on the FIVB World Tour and make a run at the next two Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.
