Brooklyn Wodehouse - Sprint Kayak

At the young age of four, Brooklyn started synchronized swimming. After 11 years in the sport and multiple National and Provincial titles, she was forced into retirement due to injury at the age of 14. Staying close to the water, that summer she picked up Sprint Kayak and hasn’t looked back. She fell in love with everything about the sport. Only a year later, she won a provincial gold medal at the Ontario Summer Games. Since last summer, she now has two National Champion titles in the K1 500 and 200 meters and has represented Canada at Olympic Hopes Regatta, an international competition in Racice, Czech Republic where she placed 10th in the world in the K1 500 metre.

Brooklyn is now training and preparing for Junior Worlds which will take place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and PanAm Championships in the summer of 2018. Brooklyn is one of Canada’s most talented upcoming stars on the Canoe Kayak team, and has an incredibly bright future in sport!
